Edward was born in London, England and emigrated to Canada in 1968. He lived in Toronto for several years, then moved to Blandford in 2003 and has a studio in his barn. He has paintings in private collections across Canada, the US, Europe, Australia and the UK.
Ted has had workshops from professional artists ranging from water colour to oil and everything in between. Exhibiting his work in many venues, he won many "Firsts" in water colour, oil and pastel.
He says, "I grew up in a place gray and colourless most of the time. My paintings reflect the enjoyment I get from the light and colour of the landscape of Nova Scotia and the changing moods of the surrounding sea."
