Have you been inspired?

The Inspired by Chester & Area Gallery is a first for the Chester Municipal Heritage Society where we hope to create a venue for amateur artists to showcase their work at our community museum.

Have you visited our corner of the world? Did you have the opportunity to explore all those nooks and crannies where we live, work and play? Were you inspired to create your own art based on your experience here?

We’d like to see them and to make them available to others. If you’d like to share your inspired work, why not upload an image of your drawings, paintings, or photographic works that were inspired by our varied and beautiful surroundings? Our gallery is a place for people who actively enjoy their hobby and would like to share their talents and memories with others across the globe. You never know, your work just may encourage others to get out and try their hand at creating! As Oscar Wilde said "every artist was first an amateur".

Submit Your Artwork

It’s free to showcase your work and you may submit up to three images of works that you created. However, there are a couple of things you need to know. By submitting an image electronically, participants accept and agree that:

They own all rights to the uploaded images and that all subject matter within is their original work,
They have permission from all of the models and have a completed model release in their possession, if their work contains identifiable people,
The Chester Municipality Historical Society may use these images and accompanying information on its website without compensation to the creator.

The Chester Municipality Historical Society reserves the right to refuse or remove any images and information.
